White particles on top of wine

Hi all- first time posting. Hoping I can get some advice!

I am making an RJS Sauvignon Blanc kit and yesterday de-gassed, added K sorbate, sulfite, kieselesol, and chitosan per instructions.

This morning, wine is very clear (can read through from the back of the carboy) except for white sediment at the bottom and large white particles floating towards the top (pics attached). Is this normal? Do I need to rack again/add k meta/etc?

I'd say let that wine sit, and those particles to drop out. I believe that they will, they may be undisolved Potassium Sorbate or they may be the lees you are trying to drop out with the clearing agents. Give those clearing agents time to work. When in doubt, procrastinate.

I’m with cmason. Experience tells me it’s undisolved sorbate. It will fall out in a couple of months. Are you in a hurry to bottle? If so, maybe filter?

Thanks for the replies. After a few days of doing nothing as advised, it's all clear! I think it must have been undissolved sorbate.

No hurry to bottle.. plan to let it sit for awhile.
