Has any of the members from the GTA found a good Shop. I have 2 I go to around my Area but they have very Little equipment wise.

I even went to One (i will never go there again) and was told they would not sell equipment because they want there customers to do it at there shop not at home. And there prices for kits were Way to High.

I have been able to get some of the basic stuff but need to get them to order stuff like a Auto Syphon or Bottle rack or Bottle Cleaner.

Just need to find a well stocked store. I dont mind Shopping online but sometimes shipping to Canada is a killer.

I would check out a few stores like http://www.austinhomebrew.com/index.php?osCsid=527df742eb7bc74fed40fd3f954c45e2 and http://www.northernbrewer.com/default as they both have $7.99 flat rate shipping, Im not positive that it would include Canada but check it out, they both have great prices.
Austin uses UPS who likely have a big brokerage fee. Northern Brewer does "not ship internationally".

Thunter, do you get to Hamilton or the Niagara Region? I can give you some suggestions there.

Steve

I am hoping to go to Niagara by the Lake with the family some time in the next few weeks. And I can always make a trip to Hamilton not to far from me

There is BrewTime on Upper James in Hamilton (http://www.brewtime.ca/). They are a Spagnols dealer and carry a lot of supplies. For example, I had trouble finding iodophor, and they had it. You might want to call about specifics, but seemed very willing to order product in.

Vineco has a factory store in St Catharines (27 Scott St West). Most things that they distribute are available, including auto-siphons, bottle trees, etc. Closed Mondays, Sundays, and Saturdays of long weekends. I do most of my shopping here. 10% off first Tuesday of month.

Watsons in Niagara-on-the-Lake (http://www.watsons.ca/Supplies.htm). Only been there once. They are best known for juices in the fall, but carry supplies etc (great selection of yeasts).

Vines to Vintages in Pelham (off #24 south of Vineland http://vinestovintages.ca/). Open Wed-Sat 9am-3pm. I haven't visited but other internet forum members have told me about them. Specialize in supplies for wineries and vineyards I suspect.

Enjoy your trip to N-o-t-L. Hopefully you'll get to visit some of the wineries. BTW Watsons is quite close to Inniskillin and Reif.

Hope this helps, Steve

Thanks for the Info cpfan. I am looking forward to hitting Watsons in the next couple weeks. Next year I hope to try making some Wine from Juice.

If you get south of the border Niagara Tradition has a good selection of equipment. They will also take an order over the phone and set it aside for you if you ask.
