I wrote earlier today about the rip0e berries, and we decided to begin. Sanitized everything, got the must started, added boiling water, sugar, pectic enzymes, pottasium sorbate, and yeast nutrient.
But my boyfriend (partner in crime) suggested holding off until tommorrow to add the yeast. I thought we should start it once the water cooled.

What should we do? We are not wise in the ways yet- first batch.

I neglected to mention that there is metabisulphite in it. I checked one source online, and it said to wait atleast 12 hours before adding yeast if there is metabisulphite in your must.

can anyone back this up?

ehhhhhhh,

Potassium sorbate inhibits the yeast to reproduce.
You should not have added this......

I wrote a possible solution in another post called: we put potassium sorbate in our must.....

I suggest to keep the discussion limited to that post and end this thread.
