Want to add some compost in rows, but scared of herbicide contamination

Has anyone experienced this? Have you gotten any lab tests done or done a test with a fast-growing veggie before adding to vineyard?

I know that Charles Dowding has done several videos on Pyralid weed killer in compost causing damage to vegetables in compost from manure from animals that eat the grasses after this herbicide was applied. The herbicide passes through the animals. You can find his videos on this at YouTube. It really is a problem. Other chemicals may also be a problem. I do not know the effect on grapes. I do not think this has been researched.
