Hi gang, I'm new to wine making and I'm having a blast learning from all of you. My question is what are your thoughts about topping off with a little bit of grape or apple juice frozen concentrate? I have now learned to make a bit more wine each batch in the future for this reason..

Never try this on the second racking since feeding a sugar will keep the yeast active.

Yup, I did it today at first racking with choke cherry (wow choke cherry is astringent when the sugar is gone)

by first racking do you mean from primary to secondary or the first time clearing Lee's from carboy to another carboy?

Primary to secondary won’t hurt since there should be a percent sugar left.

adding at .994 or so can be done since some home made port is done by feeding sugar, but it will keep the yeast happy metabolizing away.
