Have a Christmas party tomorrow and I wanted to try to bottle my Concord wine tonight to give some out as

I've never sweetened a wine before I prefer dry Reds

Been bulk aging for a little over two months
Added kmeta when racked

Very clear

Any problem with adding sorbate and Kmeta waiting a couple hours then adding boiled granulated sugar water to sweeten then immediately bottling??

Thanks in advance for your advice??

I'd be hesitant to give wine away that was back sweetened if I hadn't had at least a couple weeks to see if a renewed fermentation started.

I've a friend that will always back sweeten just before bottling but I believe John bulk ages a least six months. My guess is that you'd probably be okay. But, like Jim posted above, I'd be hesitant.

If everything works right you will be fine, but once in a while the wines will referment after a little time. One thing if the bottles blow some at your place, not so good if at somebody elses place. Arne.
