I'm working on my first kit. An Island Mist Blueberry Pinot Noir.

It’s only been in the secondary for 4 days. The SG is .992. The directions state:

"After 10 days, check your specific gravity. It should be 0.996 or less. "

Should I degass and move on? Or should I wait another 6 days. I’m guessing I should just move on, but I wanted to double check with those more knowledgeable.

Thanks!

PS:I'm guessing the SG is so low because I had a brewbelt on the primary and secondary.

Check the gravity 3 days in a row to make sure its stable otherwise youll just be wasting your time if the wine is still fermenting as it will still be creating C02 so that will make your job worthless to an extent. Give it a little more time and a few more sg readings.
