Coffee filter, snap the top on and cut away excess with scissors. I did about 10 car boys with 1 filter.

Thanks for the tip. I'm on my second fermentation and just noticed 4 fruit flys in the airlock!

Yea they are nasty little buggers.

I get the other problem a dark fungal in the airlock when bulk aging. Does not matter how it’s cleaned or if water or vodka is the
Liquid. Really annoying

Then time to use silicone waterless air locks, or use StarSan in the airlock.

I will try the starsan but am ready to go to all silicone waterless ones.
