I've been reading some posts and seems like adding raisins after primary fermentation adds a lot of value in terms of body and flavor.

Is 1lb of raisins good for 5gal carboy?
Red or white raisins, does it matter if the wine is red?

I never tried raisins before....:a1

1 pound is fine, use dark raisins for red wines and light raisins for whites. Be mindful to read the label and make sure there are no preservatives in the raisins.

Take care with raisins.
Sure they do a lot of good but there is a downside: they are heavily sulphited.

Make sure to use the right raisins: dark for a red wine and white ones for a white wine. The dark ones might color your white wine........

Also be aware that raisins are 50% sugar. So depending on the amount added you are adding a lot of sugar and that will effect your alcohol contents.

Read my log on how to treat them and other information.

I would also ask what you are making and what you hope to get from raisins.
IMHO, raisins are not a benefit in all situations.
