    *****************************************

This 3 gallon batch of apple wine has been in
2nd fermentation for about a month now.
And just today, I noticed this tiny little piece of
"string-like" material floating at the very top of the carboy.

Can anyone tell me what this is?

Could it be something from the bottom that floated up to the surface?

It looks just like a little piece of string floating at the top.... is it harmful?

Should I just rack the whole batch into a new, clean carboy?

Hopefully I uploaded this photo properly so everyone can see it.

it could be protein falling out. I would rack and double dose K-meta to make sure not bacterial.
