Storing Floor Corker

Do you store your floor corker with the handle up and iris open or handle down and iris closed?

They come shipped with the handles down.

Just curious if keeping tension on the handle spring and iris when closed matters, or should they be stored in a "relaxed" position.

Mine is stored in the up position only because it's convient so I don't walk into the lever in the down position where its being stored. I had thought about the same thing a few weeks ago when I finished bottling.......

I store it with the handle up to keep as much of the surface of the iris exposed so that it dries well and has less chance of mold. Keeping the tension off the spring is a good thing.
