One of my very favorite speakers is Lou Holtz. I think he is among the most witty and gets to the nub of the issue with humor and simple analogies. Here is an example from a motivational seminar he gave to management at a company I worked. He was talking about the 1978 Orange Bowl where his Arkansas Razorbacks had played the mighty Oklahoma Sooners. The Sooners had to win this game to claim the National Championship. No one in the sports world gave Arkansas the slightest chance of winning but they did and convincingly 31-6!

"After the game a reporter said to me, 'Your team came out of the locker room like they were on fire! What did you say to them to get them so fired up?' All I said was, 'Oklahoma is bigger than us, faster than us and stronger than us and the last 11 guys out of this locker room are going to start!'"

John McKay, coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was asked about his team's execution after one of their many losses. His response? "I'm in favor of it."
