I was about to get to the clarification step when I notice the Isinglass I have seem cloudy, whitish and less slimy than usual plus there is some tiny flakes floating in. I remember that the few last ones I've used were clear and very slimy/thick. Is it normal? What do "normal"/healthy Isinglass look like? Can Isinglass get spoiled and how does it look like? How do I know if still good and usable?

Here the pouch in question.

Hmmm, thought I amswered this question. The picture looks pretty much identical to the packet from my WE LE NZ Gewurztraminer.
