Any thoughts on keeps primarys separate for kits vs. fruit.
Or reds vs. whites.

I am looking at making strawberry but only have a primary that I have used from multiple red kits and one I have used for whites. Do I worry too much? or do you just use whatever primary is available and no need to concern over keeping separate??

I think you'll be fine.
The only primaries that I would keep seperate are those used for beer.

Yep I agree..
I have "ALE PAILS" for Beer
and
Juice buckets for Wine. mix and match, no different for juice, fruit, or kits. All go in the juice bucket.
Just keep it clean and sanitized.

Good to know. Now can use those brain cells for more worthy stuff.

well that's good enough for me when "all" the experts agree

:b

It is funny how something so simple can get under our skins as winemakers. While the plastic that primaries are made of is fairly easy to clean I've started to notice that my 'favorite' primary is starting to hold on to some of the aroma of the previous contents, so I understand where IQ is coming from.

That calls for two things.....more serious scrubbing, and perhaps a new bucket should make its way into the lineup. :sm
