I'm gathering grapes for my wine, Going to do 6 gallons. It's going to take over a week to gather enough grapes. Can I freeze what I gather each day until I get enough so they don't over rippen? :? :? :?

Never made grape wine, but freeze all the other fruits I make wine with. Don't know why it shouldn't work with grapes too. Some of the others will probably chime in here shortly.

doesn't hurt them at all from what I know, in fact makes them juice out alot better

I have used frozen scuppernongs/muscadines. The result is just as good as fresh. If doing 6 gallons, make sure to use at least 25-35#s of grapes for ultimate flavor.

I have no idea what scuppernong is but I think I am going to have to find out and make some.... just so I can say scuppernong a lot more..

Absolulty freeze them. For a 6gal. batch count on 45-50#'s for full flavor.
