Does anyone use screw tops for home brewing? If so is it simple and cost effective?

Beer - a few do, but most prefer crown caps
Wine - with one exception...NO, the machinery is too expensive
Exception - 28mm polyseal caps will fit a small minority of commercial bottles, and bottles purchased from an LHBS. If you have been saving commercial screw top bottles, the odds are not in your favour.
