Hello All,
A have a bottle of Apple wine thats been in the Glass Carboy for over a year. I lost the old reading I had using a hydrometer. So I was wondering if there is a way I can use my salt water refractometer to test for the alcohol content?

Yes, if your refractometer has the right scale. ideally you want it in Brix, but there's ways to convert to brix if its not.

also, you have to do a bunch of math, because the alcohol is going to give you a screwy reading.

and i'm not 100% on this last bit, but I believe you need the original gravity in Brix also but you can convert that from an OG gravity reading.
