I just purchased the RJS Orange Chocolate Port and read the instructions. My question is, the directions note: the wine contains residual sugar so it is mandatory that you filter your wine prior to bottling. I don't have a filter, is there any way to filter other than purchasing an expensive filter?

Well there is a gravity filter from George that is only $43.99 and
works great. I just used mine for the first time and it worked great.
Where did you get this O.C. Port, is it a brand new kit from this year
or what does the label say as far as date.

What a coincidence, I just opened a 375ml for Fathers Day enjoyment. Ididn't filter mine, and it's tasting real good. I bulk aged mine until it quit throwing sediment, about three months.

Wade - the date on the label is 20061114. The store I bought it at has had the kits since last Christmas, he put them on sale and I couldn't resist.

Dave - I'm glad to hear bulk aging works and it tastes good.

Darn, I was really hoping that they released them already as I cant
wait to do one of these kits, or even both when W.E. comes out with
theirs. After all, I need something to compare each one to rightr?

Wade, they are re-released for August!!! Dealers in Canada are starting to take orders, as they would like all orders placed by July 2nd. The announcement just came through today.
