I have a old wine recipe book that calls for grape concentrate in most of the recipes and wish to know if there is a ratio to convert amount of concentrate needed into grape juice. I think it’s 1 part concentrate to 2.8 parts water but not sure. Any help gratefully received.
New to the site and my first post so Hi to everyone.🙂

As Sour said, it depends, the only way to know is to measure. Specific gravity measurements are linear so with two dilutions as a 1:1 (50%) and a 1:9 (10%) will let you guess any dilution. Some of us like more intense flavor so we ignore what the natural juice would be.

that said frozen Retail juice concentrates in the US have a normal reconstitution of one to three.
Industrial concentrates can be significantly stronger and usually target where the water activity is low enough that yeast and mold will not grow (0.7 or less)
