Raisins in kits

One of the things I like best about forums is all of the neat new stuff that I learn.

That being said, I have been reading plenty of info about adding raisins to must in the Pail Room. So my question is this. Has anyone added raisins to a kit to improve it? Will it improve a lower end Vintners Reserve kit? I have WE Bergamais kit sitting here.

YES raisins will improve all WE reds. The lower end kits need alot of help (body).
 
Go for the grape skin pack.
The Bergamais turned out decent without it. You'll get a little jolly racher taste. Well I'm going by how quickly it's disappeared from my wine "treasure" chest. Could use more mouthfeel. But for the price of the grape skin pack, you can always upgrade to a higher end kit in most cases.
