Hello, I was just wondering if any one knew of an easy way of measuring the alcohol level in wine, beer or spirits.

Thanks!

Take starting gravity and subtract final gravity and X 1.3 for beer.
Easy way is to use a hydrometer and read the alcohol scale

Drink a known quantity of a commercial spirit with a known amount of alcohol. Time and assess the level of 'buzz'.

Drink the same amount of the spirit you're measuring. Wait the same time as the first drink. If the 'buzz' doubled, you have an exact match.

If the 'buzz' was other than exactly double, wait until you sober up, then do the math!!
