I would like to make a batch of wine and when its ready to bottle, split
the backsweetening wine part [think thats what its called]. Making 1/2 real sweet & 1/2 semi sweet!! I know to add sobate & campdon pills. But wondering when I bottle 1/2 then add more sugar & bottle the other 1/2, at this point do I add MORE sobate & campdon pills to the second half of the must??
:b

Nope, just the first time. No need to add more when you add more simple sugar solution.

You should be OK unless you forgot or didnt add enough. I never do as I add the simple syrup shortly after I add the sorbate. You may need to age it longer to clear.

Give it a week just to make sure it doesnt re ferment just in case but I havent run into a problem of it doing that!
