The Sandhill Cranes are heading South big time the last few days to Winter down in the Bosque del Apache Reserve. They will typically circle over head for a bit, get their bearings and then continue South for another couple hundred miles or so.

Finally, fall is going to get here soon... Just about 3 weeks before winter! 😄 Looks like I will finally be vacuuming up leaves in a few days.

Yep, that's why I don't live there! 😄 God bless ya all, but a few inches of snow every couple-three winters and an average annual snowfall of 1 inch is enough for me. I did my time up North.

Another 6" this morning.

Yep, I did that too when I was nuts enough to live up there! 🤣 Nah, really, the snow can be fun if you have a sled.... But my wife, she was sick of blizzards.... The last year we were there, we were sitting in the living room... there was FOUR feet of snow on the ground... the temp was -40 degrees, and the wind chill was -90. There were like two cars in the entire town running. She looked at me and said, "We ain't staying here another year!" By spring, she had another job in Virginia, and off we went... 🤣

Ya, it's not for everyone, which is one of the reasons it's not crowded here.
I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, so many of us wear it like a badge of pride. One year we had so much snow piled up in the yard, we hired a guy with a bobcat to remove it as we feared a wet basement in the spring. It's going to get a lot better when the overhead door goes on the garage. Lol
