I want to make pomegranate wine and I`m thinking on adding freshly pressed grape juice. Is it a good idea? Anyone tried it with pomegranate? If so how much should I add per liter (the grapes are of "Isabella" variety)?
 
I'm by no means an expert (haha first post), but I'd guess that it would make a great combination of flavors. It seems to me that the pomegranate flavor could use some mellowing! I typically use the calculator at www.gotmead.com to figure my target gravity, so maybe try that out (http://www.gotmead.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=745&Itemid=16).

Could you post the recipe besides the grapes? I'm about to start my first pom wine, and not sure how much juice to use for a 3 gallon batch. I don't want the wine to be too sour, which I think is a real possibility with this stuff!
