Pipette dropped into demi!

Hey folks,

So I was trying to get a sample of wine for testing last night and a serological pipette fell into the demi! D'Oh!

I just racked it - and would rather not have to rack again if not necessary just to retrieve it. Can I safely assume it won't harm the wine? Wont be racking til march again

perfectly clean! I have to stop drinking all the samples... can't be drunk while handling the equipment

Since I have absolutely no clue(I have recently Googled it) what a serological pipette is, I guess I have never dropped one in a carboy.

I had one in a barrel for 4-5 months. No impact; it's food safe. The only downside was that I had to go buy another one.

Do not worry, it is not like the wine will dissolve your pipette. You can get it back during the next racking!

by sampling that means filling the pipette and then drinking thecarboy dry, correct?..
