In 2011 I made the Winexpert South African Pintotage kit -- it came out good, seemed to be a favorite. Friends and family said I should make it again. So, two years ago I started another one, which sat in the carboy for 2 years (not my normal method) -- I bottled in the summer.
A few weeks ago at a family gathering, my sister-in-law tried it and asked me for a bottle. She's never asked for a bottle before (been married 27 years, so the acquaintance is not a short one).
Last night we had friends for dinner. The wife, who is NOT a red wine drinker, tried a sip then finished half the bottle, and asked for one.
I'm thinking I need to order 2 kits and get started ....
