Hello all,

I did a experment I made some more pear wine with store bought pears. followed same recipe as with my other pear wine. Same steps same chemical, fermented then racked (1), then a month later or so after it cleared up I reracked minus the settlement, and degased. Placed in a dark unused room, I noticed some very fine bubble,,,creating a small amount of foam in the neck of the 1 gallon glass jug. Paid close attention figured it would stop some time..

well it has not, still small bubbles... wines clear.... but how come it is still bubbling? Should I stop it some how.. and finally how?...

Thanks

Sounds like trapped gas. What was the gravity?

Did you add sulfite cause if not it can be malolactic fermemtation as Pears contain malic acid.
