I bought a Trinity Red Wine Expert's kit off of Amazon. I will never do that again, it looks like it's very old. The wine experts label was covered with another label so I could not see the manufacturer date. I decided to go ahead and make it anyway. I noticed as I was sprinkling on the yeast, the yeast looked old. I'm planning today I'm going to the brew supply to buy more yeast. However, I noticed that the airlock is getting bubbles. Would it hurt to add more yeast?

I've made kits that were 3 years old that turned out fine. If it smells good, it's probably fine.

It's also a lesson to buy only from reputable sources -- if in doubt, start a thread and ask questions. Chances are someone else has purchased from a given source and can offer feedback. If you are the first, you can warn others.
