First time making Sauvignon Blanc and wondered if anyone oaks it? I will be aging it a car boy. I thought maybe some light oak. Thanks.

IMHO, sav blanc tends to be one of the most acidic wines out there. With it's characteristic crisp bite, oak would be overkill.

Of course this only my opinion and is not a rule. Taste the wine and make the call based on your tastes and the characteristics of your particular wine.

I fermented mine in a new barrel last year for the first time. It added a creamy mouthfeel that I like. I haven't let it age in oak but I've heard of it being done. Another experiment for the list:db
