Good day all!

Looking for a bit of insight on the whole south facing debate.

Just trying to get all the information I need in order to properly set-up these vines.

The vineyard will be planted in Southern Nova Scotia about 1000 meters from the Bay of Fundy.

Hardiness zone 4b

Possible Grape varietals to be used include:

Marechal Foch
Lucie Kulhmann
Baco Noire
Dechaunac
Leon Millot

Here's a quick layout:

Any issues here with it not being south facing ?
Should I have a different orientation ?

Anything will help!

Thanks!

Some people insist you need rows running North to South, but at your latitude the convenience of the rows is almost as important. I would plant them as you show. It is a good compromise to orientation and being a logical layout. Good luck with the vineyard. It looks like it will be a few hundred vines.

Perfect!

Thanks Grapeman!

Bushwacking the field tomorrow.
Tilling on Sunday.

I'll post some pictures in the Spring!
