Hi all,
New to the forum but have been scouring for awhile. Recently bought a new house in western New York and it came with some grape vines! Not 100% sure what kind they are but I’m thinking concord. I’ve never pruned before and I’m pretty worried about screwing it up. Don’t know if they are to the point I’m better off just cutting the main trunk and starting with new growth from this coming growing season or not. I have attached some pictures and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Alex

Look on YouTube for "Four-arm Kniffen Pruning" and you will find exactly what you need. There are several very instructive videos by university extension services on pruning Concord and similar vines this way.
