Today is National Farmers Day, and it's a good time to recognize that farmers literally put their lives on the line to produce our food. Agriculture is the deadliest occupation in America. Its death rate is 20.2 per 100,000, two times the death rate of law enforcement and seven times the death rate of the construction trades. When you eat today, thank the farmers!
