I have a trip coming up where I'm going to have the better part of a Sunday free and virtually on my own. Probably won't have a car, but can certainly use Uber. I'll be staying at the Gaylord, if you know where that is. Any suggestions of things to do? I love live music, but am not much of a country fan.

What a boom town! I just found out that someone paid $7,000 a square FOOT for a lot on Second Ave. in downtown. Wooow...that's $48+ per square INCH!

There is so much to do, I cannot list it all. A couple suggestions.

See if you can get some Nashville Brewing Co. lager. They have a Festbier out for fall that is really good. I love their beer, and actually drive 100 miles round trip to stock up on it.

There are tons and tons of craft breweries there. You should be in heaven.

If you wish to go to a really, really nice nearby winery, try Kix Brooks' place, Arrington.

If you are a country music fan, a trip to the Ryman may be of interest. It oozes music history.

The star of "American Pickers" has an Antique Archeology store in downtown.

Lived there for 14 years, just returnd from my Sons wedding. Get a ride to Lower Broad and 2nd. This is the Meca of Nashville tourism, lots of bars, restraunts and people watching. Tons of things to do and I bet the Gaylord might have transportation.
