Mosti Mondiale MV Rosso Ardente w/skins

Started this kit today. Couple of interesting things I noticed. The grape skin bag had a lot of juice in it. Most of the skins packs are practically dry, but I had to pour this thing out it was so runny.

This kit also didn’t contain a muslin bag?? Not sure if that was on purpose or an error. Luckily I had one on hand.

No bentonite in this kit either and one of the ingredient packs is stamped with “Mosti Mondiale”, guess that’s why it isn’t included since MM doesn’t usually supply it.

Only oak was 2 bags of chips for the primary. Not a big deal since I have plenty of cubes, but annoying for a hearty Italian red to not come with any.

Anyway, everything came together in the end. Swapped the yeast for BM 4x4 and going to do a 4 week EM on this one.

I think I remember Tim V. saying that the MV kits don't include bentonite, because they don't need it. That other kit manufacturers, including WineExpert who he worked for for a long time, included it due to a protein haze issue.
