Went down to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area this week for a few days, and I visited one winery, which was in Pigeon Forge, called Mountain Valley Winery. They only had 4 dry wines, one of which they were sold out of, so I couldn't even taste it. I tried two of the other three, one Cabernet Sauvignon, one Cynthiana/Norton, and a chardonnay. Not a big chardonnay fan myself, I didn't try theirs. But the other dry wines were not very spectacular. Not a whole lot of depth and truthfully kinda thin.

I shouldn't have been surprised, but their country wines were their best ones. I'm not a sweet wine fan myself, but my wife liked the Mountain Valley Blush, and the Blackberry. She thought the Mountain Valley Red was way too sweet.

There was supposed to be a winery in Gatlinburg, but we went and asked around, and nobody had heard of it.
