measuring alcohol after fermentation

what is the prodcedure in measuring what the alcohol is after fermentation is done? thanks

The procedure is called checking the specific gravity. When the wine was started an SG should have been taken and this tells you what the "potential" alcohol will be when fermentation is complete. A check at the end will confirm the original number for alc content.
