Like a Fish?

All through dinner my wife's best friend's four-year-old daughter stared at me as I sat opposite her. The little girl could hardly eat her food for staring. Growing subconscious, I checked my beard for food stuck in it, glanced at my shirt for spots, made sure my hair was in place, even looked behind me thinking maybe she was trying to look at a TV or something, but nothing I did stopped the staring.

I finally asked her, rather pointedly, "Why are you staring at me?"

Everyone at the table had also noticed her behavior and the table grew quiet as we waited for her response.

Finally ... the little girl said ...
"I'm waiting to see how you drink like a fish."
