I know Muscat and its many incarnations are the first goto but let's exclude them and see what else is out there.
It can be red or white but white preferred. I think I read Malvasia is an aromatic. I also seem to remember the east European versions fitting the bill such as misket or moscodel but they actually are not related to Muscat.
