Leaking stave

I have one stave that is perspiring, pushing wine thru the wood in too many place to count, just one stave and not at seam.
Tried wax, slowed it a bit, I have emptied the barrel and plan to dry it out and try the wax again. Any other suggestions, I will share I resolved a leak at a head stave connection by tapping the staves to help them seat, worked lick a charm

I also have a leaky barrel. It is leaking at the head. Not sure how to correct it. It is a Vadai 5.3 gallon barrel and they are not responding to my many requests for help.

the best ways to stop leaks is fill the barrel with hot water and then immerse the entire barrel in a hot water bath overnight.

The best barrel manual I've seen is on the Barrel Builders site, it's a bit dated but still the most detailed information I've found on various topics including maintenance and leak repair etc. Obviously as @salcoco indicated, you need to be sure to saturate the barrel to be certain there is a true leak that needs to be repaired. If the barrel leak persists, you then have to identify the type of leak, and then use the appropriate repair procedure. Barrel leak repairs start on page 21 of the manual, and there are also a couple of videos I've included below associated with various repairs.

I’ve had a few leaks in new barrels over the years, but never bad enough to not heal on their own by simply ignoring them. Unless it’s a dripping leak that will result in real wine loss, I usually don’t fret. Staining around the head, between head staves, or between barrel staves, without running, dripping, or pooling wine, are the ones I’m referring to.
Any serious leak needs to be dealt with, as stickman posted, based upon the situation.

I taped my barrel with a hammer around the head, it apparently helped the staves to settle tighter to the head and sealed my leaks, worked for me.
Mine are Vadai 100l barrels
