Large hose barbs

Any tips for getting a 3" hose onto a steel 3" triclamp hose barb? I can't seem to muscle it on. Thanks.

Have you tried glycerin on the barb?

I was just gonna say the same thing. A little lubricant of some sort usually does the trick.

Hot water should soften the hose and make it slip right on.

Use a small torch and heat it...
