Hi folks -

I got a 15% off coupon for a kit from Midwest (Wine Kits), so I figured I'd treat myself to a high end wine kit; planning on using it to do a 3 gal batch of the straight wine and a 6 gal batch of pyment. I'm torn between staying in my comfort zone of getting a Chardonnay and trying to re-create one of the best meads I've ever made, a Chardonnay pyment (and improve upon, since it was with a can of Alexander's), and probing out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a stellar kit in their current inventory?

thx

Honestly, if you like chardonnay, the master vintner winemakers reserve chardonnay ($75/kit) is really pretty good. I've made a batch every year for the last four years. My mom (who always reminds me that she doesn't like chardonnay) says she loves this stuff.

It's not a high end kit, but it's a really great buy for the price, IMO.
