I did a KR FS Cab/Shiraz (with crushed grape pack) about 3-4 years ago and after patiently waiting 1 year, then 2 years then 2.5 years ect... I found that I was really disappointed with it overall. Well i decided to open a bottle tonight and low and behold it has finally transformed itself into the wine that I had always hoped it would become!
I'm not very good at describing aromas but it definitely smells somewhat like a cab shiraz that I would buy in a liquor store. Its very smooth at this point and the only negative is that I dont have very many bottles left...I used most of them to top up other carboys
