Making my first juice bucket of Merlot. My Avante yeast didn’t seem to start fermentation so I added ec1118 so now it is fermenting well almost done. I forgot how much regular yeast stinks during fermentation, Avante doesn’t give off any bad odor.
Do juice buckets need more than normal amounts of nutrients due to not having any skins?

no the yeast nutrient is to provide energy to the yeast. there should not be any off odors. stir at least twice daily. if smell is rotten eggs then add some nutrient
