It depends on what software you use and where you host your forum. Most of the "free hosted" forums are great for message exchange but if you want to have software files to download, you will find they won't allow that at most. What you have to do is go to an Internet hosting company like Go Daddy or Invision Power Service to name a couple and pay for a plan that fits your needs. Most of these plans come with free forum software. Not this one used here but a good software called pHBB forum software. Some places will even set up your forum for you and then you go from there. You will need to find a host plan that will meet the bandwidth requirements you need

Also, what software and games are being shared? That right there sounds like a huge violation of copyright laws, and most hosting facilities will have no part in that.

Assuming its all legitamite 'freeware' being shared, I suspect it will be a fairly expensive site to run. Software means more storage used and a lot more bandwidth used per month.

I think the only way you could make it pay for itself is to charge a membership fee to use it.

yes that's right all it depends on the facility they host is giving to us, then it will charge with what he is giving, but I just want to know an approx. value :D

but it's ok it can be 2 dollar to 200 dollars :h never mind. but thanks for reply
