I chose 1. I guess I have not made too much more then 1 at any time because of the space restrictions I have. A 1 gal jug obviously takes up much less space then a 5 gal carboy. I would not be able to make too many if I did it in 5 gal batches....

I make 6 US gallons at a time usually. This is the standard kit size...6 US gallons, 5 Imperial gallons, or 23 litres.

It all depends on how I am making the wine. If I am making wine from grapes I usually make 80-100 gallons at a time. If making wine from juice then I usually have 4 or 5 batches going (6 gal pails). If making wine from fruit such as raspberries I make 2 gallon batches. I won't make wine in less than 2 gallon batches. The reason is that I like to try different methods with the wine. For example, if making two 1 gal batches I can slighlty alter the process by adding different yeast and nutrients. I can make one sweet and one dry. I like to take lots of notes so I know what worked and what didn't work for the next time.

Generally my car-boys are 10 liter and that is about
3 gallon. So I voted for 3.

But more and more i am making experiments in 5 liter
carboys. When they turn out well I scale them up to 3 or even 8 gallon (25 liter) carboys.

I voted for 5. Some of my cider batches are 15 gallons, and my test batches are only 1 gallon, but most of my batches are 5 gallons.

1 gallon batches for me.

Maybe after I make more, and get a little better at it, I can start to make larger ones!!

I voted five but on average it is 6 if a kit. If I make a country wine or a mead it is normally 3 or 5 gallons
