How do you prevent bubbles getting stuck at the top of a plastic Carboy?

I recently purchased a plastic Carboy. I racked my very black cherry wine into it the other day and noticed trapped bubbles at the top of the carboy, after topping up. I had used star-san to sanitize, so there was foam.

I was able to get a lot of the bubbles out, by tilting the carboy gently from side to side.

since today or tomorrow is going to be bottling day, I'm not too worried about this batch. However I am concerned for future patches where I might use it this car boy during bulk aging.

This is nothing to worry about. It is probably co2. And if it was air/oxygen, the amount is too small to harm the wine. You have more air over the surface than in these small bubbles, and that is also no problem when its up in the neck where the surface is small.
