How clean does a new kit have to be?

Not a good pic but this is cheap, easy to make and works well. Micro fiber cloth attached to a 3/8 dowel with a hose clamp

I’m new to wine making but have been brewing for 3 years. When I want to clean a carboy. I put a tablespoon or two of PBW or oxyclean in and fill with water. Let sit for a few days. Give it a shake every now and then maybe. After a good rinse it’s good to go even gets off thick kreusen rings.
