I just started this new hobby in July with a chardonnay kit and am dying to try some fruit recipes with all the wonderful things in season. I look forward to learning from everyone here:)

Welcome.

Be aware that a lot of people over here are willing to help you with any questions you might have,

Most fruit is suitable for winemaking.
But reading it is your first batch from fresh fruit I would
start with soft fruit like elderberries, blackberries, strawberries or even peaches.

When using hard fruit like apples or pear the processing is much more complicated (like pressing mechanical).

So start easy and make a lot of varieties so you learn
to know what you like, and make things more 'complicated' along the way.

But even if you are going to do it the hard way, there are enough
of us willing to help.

Luc

Thank you

Thank you Luc. I just started a batch with raspberries and some pureed rhubarb. It is small, a little more than a gallon, but it will be, I hope, a good experiment as I expect many of them to be for some time to come.
