I work as a caregiver in a facility where a german resident had passed away recently, she left me her wines because she knew I liked alcohol, she has one that caught my eye, mainly because of the age, but I would like to know more about it being the noob I am and the language barrier on the bottle.

It is a 1977 Wurttemberg lauffener qualitatswein, hopefully this makes sense

I will first say that you should probably not get your hopes up that this is worth anything. Many wines were not meant to be aged that long, and the storage conditions may have been less than ideal.

I think we need more information to help you. You have told us the vintner (Lauffner), and the region (Wuerttemberg), and the initial ripeness level of the grapes (Qualitätswein). We don't yet know what kind of wine it is, i.e., the grape variety used, etc.

It may be easiest for you to take a picture of it and post it here!

Welcome to the forum. Looks like sour grapes might be able to help you with what you have. I personally wouldn't have a clue. Arne.
