Just wanted to say Hi!
I'm from Port Deposit, Maryland, and have just two weeks ago, put together a wine making kit and I'm starting my primary fermentation of a Summer Breeze Wild Berry White Zinfandel kit. This is my first batch, and I am looking forward to learning more of this hobby.
I've already learned a ton from this forum in the last two days.
Best Regards,
Doug

Welcome to a great hobby, err, obsession. :dg

Hi RDavidP,
Do you have a local store you buy your wine stuff from?

the closest to me is in Newark, Delaware, called "How do you Brew"
Very nice folks, and they seem to be well stocked and knowledgable.
I bought my equipment and first juice kit on line at The Wine Maker's Toy Store.
George was very helpful.
I'll have to take a ride down to the Flying Barrel and check them out.

Welcome aboard. I'm from Westminster, MD.
I've been to the Flying Barrel a couple of times. Nice little shop.

Sure, I'm up for that. Port Deposit is straight up route 95, just on the other side of the Susquehanna River. I have a view of the river from my backyard.
It's about an hour and 30 minutes to Frederick.

you must be close to Berrywine Plantations.
My favorite winery!

Welcome Doug, glad to have you aboard and im sure George took good care of you.

Berrywine and Linganore are the same. Berrywine is their fruit wines...which are my wifes favorite. They ahve a great wine sampling setup, and give you information on pairing foods with the wines.
I didn't care for their Mead either.

hey Doug,

great to have you here.. more chatty people required!

Allie :bt
